Geoff Horst has been growing his company, Plymouth-based Algal Scientific Corp., since 2009, but it wasn’t until early this month that his business was put under a microscope to see if it qualified to be named an Endeavor Entrepreneur. This means it is poised to receive global services and mentoring to make their fast-growing companies grow faster.
Endeavor is a global nonprofit whose network helps “high-impact entrepreneurs” access capital and connect with resources through mentorship. In turn, the successful entrepreneurs become mentors to other high-growth companies.
Endeavor has U.S. offices in Detroit and Miami and, in May, opened an office in Louisville, Ky. It has support offices in New York and San Francisco.
“Now we’re in a network to reach almost anyone we want,” Horst said. “We have connections to international customers and partners and a local mentor that is specific to our field.
