HRV typically invests $1–$5 million per company over the life of the investment.
Initial investments are made at the Seed, Series A or Series B stages.

Geography

HRV is focused on the region of the country that is most underserved by early-stage venture capital—roughly from Denver to Pittsburgh and from Minneapolis to Austin. Some may call it “Fly Over Country”, others the “Midwest”.  We call it the “Frontier” region because of its tremendous untapped potential, unparalleled resources and intrepid entrepreneurs who are not afraid of a challenge.

Role

We take lead, co-lead and syndicate positions, and seek Board or Observer roles.
We will only invest where we can add differential value based on our experience and networks.
